I am the Forest Health Specialist with the University of Georgia.  I have a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Tennessee.  My areas of specialization include forest entomology, aquatic entomology, and environmental risk.  Most recently I had the privilege of working with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (GRSM).  I conduced an assessment of the GRSM hemlock woolly adelgid management program, determining longevity of pesticide treatments and risks to aquatic habitats.  As an environmental scientist with the Alabama Department of Environmental Management I worked with stormwater management and the Deep Water Horizon Oil Spill Response.
